Thermal Interface Materials

To dissipate heat loss electronic components are usually mounted on cooling plates or heatsinks. It is widely known that these mounting surfaces are not perfectly flat meaning the thermal conductivity is reduced between each part. To improve the thermal contact the part may require further work at more expense. However by introducing a Thermal Interface Material between the mounting surfaces this work and expense can be avoided.
At Uvox we are the preferred supplier of Thermal Interface Material with conversion capabilities including CNC machining and tooling services. With our conversion services we are able to transform your requirement into high quality products whilst maintaining competitive prices.

As electronic devices become more advanced, the need to dissipate heat becomes greater.

Thermal Interface Materials combine great thermal and electrical properties, where required, to bring you a product of outstanding quality and value.

  • Silicone Pads

    Silicone Pad

There are many Silicone Pads available, each with their own different properties and performance making them a versatile choice.

  • Gap Fillers

    Gap Filler

Gap fillers provide an effective thermal interface where an uneven surface is present, they eliminate air gaps between surfaces to reduce thermal resistance.

  • Phase Change Materials

    Phase Change

Phase change materials are an excellent alternative to thermal greases. The material changes from a solid to a molten phase at a specific temperature.

  • Thermal Greases

    thermal-grease

Thermally conductive greases are used to increase thermal conductivity by filling tiny air gaps, and are typically used to assist heat transfer from a CPU/GPU die.

  • Form-in-Place

UVOX offer compounds which have been specially developed for use Thermal Form-in-Place applications. They consist of a filled silicone elastomer. The compounds cure at room temperature, which allows the material to cure when applied to sensitive materials or enclosures. This is especially true for PCBs which can be distorted and damaged by high temperatures.
Thermal grease or more substantial compounds can be applied and are easy to handle and assemble.

  • Conversion & Prototyping

By harnessing state-of-the-art technology we are able to quickly produce a great number of profiles and configurations of Thermal Interface Materials. Offering short lead-times and competitive minimum-orders, our CNC processes lend themselves to environments where a solution is needed quickly, or where revisions need to be made.
The advantage of CNC is the ease of which changes can be made as there is no reliance on traditional tooling methods. Short runs are a lot more achievable without compromising high-volume competitiveness. We also utilise traditional manufacturing methods where there is a need.
